Hello!

We are a small family owned and operated breeder. This allows us to provide the personal attention each puppy and puppy buyer deserves in this process. Puppies from our litters are born and raised in our home and are well socialized at the time they go home with you at 8 weeks old.

Located in New York. Our Golden Retrievers are hand-raised with a relentless focus on temperament and health. Aside from performing rigorous health testing on all of our dogs, we raise our puppies according to a time-intensive enrichment program, which results in emotionally resilient, balanced puppies who have every advantage necessary to become once in a lifetime family members.

As Golden Retriever Breeders, we take pride in our commitment to promoting this distinctive breed. Our focus on temperament and health ensures that our puppies are suitable for therapy work. While our dogs may differ in conformation from their American counterparts, it’s important to note that they are Golden Retrievers through and through. That’s why we stand behind the American Kennel Club and encourage all Greenwich Goldens families to register their puppies with the AKC.

As pet owners, we understand the pain of losing a furry family member. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing families with healthy, long-living Golden Retrievers. Our mission is to spare others from experiencing the heartache we went through with the loss of our beloved Rockit. With our breeding program, we strive to produce puppies who live long, healthy lives and bring joy to families for years to come.

PROCESS

Summary

  • Submit an application
  • Approved Applicants will be contacted via email and text message
  • A Reservation Contract and a Reservation Fee ($500) must be completed (on the same day) in order to reserve a puppy
  • Approved Applicants who are completely flexible with whatever wait time and with whichever litter they are placed with can make a reservation anytime (they will be placed with soonest availability that fits around the Priority and Full Registration Reservations)
  • Approved Applicants who want to be placed with a specific litter can solidify their place in line by pursuing Priority AKC Limited Registration anytime ($4,500 total)
  • Approved Applicants pursuing a specific litter can also wait until an ultrasound confirms that pregnancy and attempt to pursue general AKC Limited Registration at that point, but they may need to wait until after the birth depending on availability ($3,000-TX total)
  • Those who complete the reservation process will be invited to join a private Facebook group (Carmel Bliss Community) that will be updated every 1-2 weeks after a litter is born
  • When each litter is 4-6 weeks old, we have families fill out a form that helps us match individual pups with families
  • We complete puppy matches on/by day 51
  • We will set a pickup day to be when the litter is around 8 weeks old, and it’s typically on a Saturday

What do we provide?

  • 26-month Health Guarantee against congenital defects
  • Multiple rounds of precautionary and appropriate parasite prevention
  • Early Neurological Stimulation
  • Tactile and noise desensitization
  • Area Training during weeks 3-8
  • Socialization with children and other people of various ages
  • Introduction to and playtime with other fully vaccinated adult animals
  • Full weaning onto hard kibble
  • A physical examination at a veterinary clinic
  • First set of vaccinations
  • Microchip insertion
  • A head start on potty and kennel training
  • Introduction to bathing/grooming
  • Lots of snuggles and love
  • A puppy care guide with links to some of our favorite products
  • Assistance with travel details
  • A safe place for any of the dogs we have produced should their families become unable to keep them

What is not provided

  • More pictures or video than we voluntarily provide on our social media or website
  • Reservation Fee Refunds
  • 24/7 response to questions about training or about anything we have already addressed on our website
  • Unregistered puppies
  • Families picking their own puppy (We match pups with families carefully)

We only do natural breedings with our boys, so a negative Brucellosis must be obtained within 7 days of breeding. Please note that a Brucellosis test can take several days, so don’t delay!
